General Elections: Kargil admin suspends arms licenses | KNO

Kargil, March 22 (KNO): District Magistrate Kargil Baseer ul Haq Choudhary today issued an order for suspension of all the Arms licenses valid for Kargil District or Jammu and Kashmir state or All India with immediate effect. Through the order license holders have been directed to immediately deposit the weapons with the concerned police stations. The weapon holders having granted license by the District Magistrates of the other districts or by the Home Department and putting up in Kargil District shall also deposit weapons in the concerned police stations with immediate effect. The order further reads that any person if found carrying weapons after the issuance of this order shall be dealt under law. The weapons shall be seized and the license shall be cancelled.(KNO)
